About the founder
Antoine Kanamugire MD, is a husband, father of four, medical doctor, psychiatrist, author, professor of clinical medicine and a mental health awareness advocate. He is a Board Certified Psychiatrist in the US by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology-ABPN and Board certified in Canada by The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr Antoine is licensed to practice in the US and Canada and he has been practicing as a psychiatrist for more than 10 years in multiple settings. He has practiced as a consultant psychiatrist for teams of family doctors, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapist, nurses and psychoeducators. He also worked as an outpatient psychiatrist, an intensive outpatient psychiatrist and as a consultant psychiatrist in the emergency department. in the midst of legalization and decriminalization of some drugs in the US and Canada, Dr Antoine held a media campaign initiative to raise awareness about potential mental health risks associated with drugs usage especially among young people under the age of twenty five. His work has been featured in more than a hundred media outlets in the US and Canada.
